What happens when ambitious early-career professionals are given the opportunity to learn, contribute, and take ownership from day one? For many AvePoint employees, that journey began through AvePoint's Technical Enrichment Program (ATEP), where mentorship, hands-on experience, and real-world challenges helped shape the foundation of their careers.
ATEP is AvePoint's internship and early-career development program designed to help participants build both technical expertise and professional skills through real customer and business experiences. What distinguishes the program is its emphasis on meaningful contribution. Participants are encouraged to apply what they learn, take ownership of projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop the confidence to solve complex problems. For many graduates, ATEP becomes more than a starting point. It serves as the foundation for long-term growth and career development at AvePoint.
Today, former ATEP participants serve as team leads, managers, and key contributors across AvePoint. Their experiences highlight how mentorship, opportunity, and a commitment to continuous learning can open doors to meaningful and rewarding careers.
From Internship to Impact
Every ATEP journey is unique, but each begins with the same opportunity: to learn from experienced mentors, contribute to meaningful work, and grow through real-world experience.
Kirk Montejo, Support Manager
ATEP provided me with the kind of exposure that accelerated my growth beyond what I expected. It did not just teach me how to work; it taught me how to think about work. I was exposed to a wide range of projects, which encouraged me to look beyond surface-level tasks and understand the ins and outs of how things worked. I used to see support as a secondary role, but I came to understand that clear communication can make a meaningful difference in a project's success.
Beyond the technical skills, ATEP changed how I show up in every role I take on. |
Working across different projects meant communicating with developers, project managers, and business analysts, each with a different way of receiving information, and I learned that getting the message right mattered as much as getting the fix right. This habit did not just make me better at support; it made me more deliberate in every role I have taken on since.
Neckie Reusora, Support Manager
During ATEP's five-month training program, I was introduced to many things that were new to me — from learning system functions and preparing demo presentations to supporting customers. Joining ATEP was one of the best decisions I made for my career.
The program gave me more than technical knowledge; it helped me develop confidence, adaptability, communication and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn continuously. |
Sometimes, the most meaningful opportunities are found outside our comfort zone. You may not know where the path will lead, but taking that first step can open doors to growth and possibilities you never imagined.
Lecsther Torrefiel, Sr. Support Engineer, Team Lead
| I joined ATEP as a technical intern, drawn by the company's strong commitment to mentorship, continuous learning, and professional growth. Through the program's guidance, hands-on experience, and opportunities, I was able to take on new challenges, expand my technical knowledge, and develop my collaboration skills.
The experience helped shape my professional and personal growth, giving me the confidence to contribute beyond my core responsibilities and work effectively with teams across the organization. |
Looking back, ATEP played a significant role in my career journey, providing a strong foundation and creating opportunities to learn, grow, and build a meaningful career at AvePoint.
Laurence Uy, Associate Project Manager, Team Lead
The ATEP program thoroughly equipped us with the core technical frameworks, methodologies, and practical skills needed to navigate complex projects. The training wasn't just abstract theory; it was rooted in real-life scenarios, hands-on problem-solving, and practical execution.
What truly set the program apart was the genuine trust AvePoint placed in us. AvePoint gave us the space and autonomy to figure things out independently while remaining available whenever we needed support. Having leaders who invest in building your skills and then trust you to take ownership of impactful responsibilities as a fresh graduate makes a meaningful difference. |
If I had to sum up my experience in one word, it would be: empowerment.
Caesar Li Bi, Business Analyst, Team Lead
I joined the Business Analyst team under AvePoint's ATEP program as an intern. With no background in tech or software development, I found the program appealing because it offered not just the technical skills needed for the job, but also real experience and responsibility on actual projects.
My training included learning sessions and structured outputs. Still, most of my growth came from real project exposure — both shadowing a senior business analyst and eventually being placed on projects myself. I always felt supported by the people around me, which helped me quickly pick up the technical side of business analysis and build the confidence to lead a project. |
That environment of continuous growth allowed me to make decisions and learn from each of them.
Yuri Malalis, Business Analyst
Fresh out of university, I wanted to explore what it would be like to work in the tech industry, and AvePoint felt like a great place to start. Despite my lack of a background in software development, ATEP allowed me to discover my interests and equipped me with the technical and professional skills needed to succeed.
What made the greatest difference was the guidance and trust that our leaders gave us as we took on projects. This was exemplified by my being sent to Singapore to support a project just three months after my training as a business analyst. The guidance from my senior colleagues and on-site team gave me the confidence to lead client discussions and produce deliverables that moved the project forward. |
Through hard work and mentorship from my leads, I was fortunate to be recognized as a Stellar Performer Awardee at AvePoint Cebu. Since then, I've been entrusted with leading business analyst teams on projects in the education and government sectors, as well as for private agencies. I've just celebrated my second work anniversary in Singapore, having handled over ten different projects and worked with great colleagues from China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Europe.
