AvePoint Supports Organizations Moving to SharePoint 2016 with Latest Release of the DocAve Software Platform

DocAve helps customers migrate, manage, and protect SharePoint 2016 and Office 365 data in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments

Jersey City, New Jersey — May 3, 2016 — AvePoint, the Microsoft Cloud expert, today announced the general availability of the latest release of DocAve 6 Service Pack (SP) 7, the enterprise-class infrastructure management platform for SharePoint. With this release, AvePoint helps organizations migrate to SharePoint 2016 and take advantage of the platform’s latest features – whether in an on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environment.

DocAve 6 SP 7 expands support for all SharePoint versions, allowing businesses to use and deploy SharePoint in the way that suits their migration concerns, management demands, and regulatory or compliance needs. With DocAve, organizations can:

Migrate – As more businesses shift to the cloud, SharePoint 2016 and its enhanced hybrid functionality provide organizations with the ability to move their environments at their own pace based on organizational or regulatory constraints without sacrificing key capabilities or ease of integration. DocAve allows customers to carry out a direct migration to SharePoint 2016 and Office 365 – SharePoint Online from previous versions of SharePoint as well as other legacy collaboration platforms. With DocAve High Speed Migration for Office 365, organizations can migrate content from previous versions of SharePoint, file shares, and LiveLink with speeds up to five times faster than before.

With DocAve 6 SP 7, customers transitioning to the cloud and utilizing Nintex Workflow can also migrate, replicate, and transform on-premises workflows into Nintex Workflow for Office 365 while keeping all workflow definitions intact.

Manage – Organizations moving to SharePoint 2016 need the ability to manage their cloud-hosted or hybrid environments with the same level of control as on-premises. Whether an environment is hosted on-premises, in the cloud, hybrid, or on virtual machines, DocAve allows organizations to deploy and use SharePoint in the way that best suits their business needs without compromising control or functionality.

Protect – With hybrid enhancements in SharePoint 2016, organizations need to address the enforcement of policies across multiple environments. By adding support for SharePoint 2016 and enhancing records management capabilities, DocAve ensures organizations can enforce their corporate and regulatory policies across all SharePoint and OneDrive for Business environments.

“Leading up to the general availability of SharePoint 2016, AvePoint has worked closely with Microsoft to ensure that customers moving to and adopting the latest version of the platform can do so with maximum efficiency,” said John Peluso, Senior Vice President of Product Strategy, AvePoint. “With the latest release of DocAve, we’re allowing organizations to take advantage of SharePoint’s latest enhancements faster without compromising their ability to maintain an environment that is secure, effectively managed, and optimized for users.”

The latest release of DocAve is generally available Thursday, May 5, 2016. For more information on the platform and product features, please visit our website.
