New Release of AvePoint Meetings Brings More Order and Efficiency to Meetings

AvePoint’s latest release of its award-winning Microsoft SharePoint application allows users to boost productivity and maintain accountability with support for touch screen devices, meeting classifications, improved search, and enhanced Microsoft Outlook integration.

Jersey City, New Jersey — March 10, 2015 — AvePoint, the established leader in enabling enterprise collaboration across platforms and devices, today announced the general availability of AvePoint Meetings 3 Service Pack (SP) 2. AvePoint Meetings, the company’s finalist-selected solution for the 2014 Microsoft Office and SharePoint App Developer Partner of the Year Award, provides organizations with a unified collaboration space, seamless SharePoint and Outlook integration, and fully auditable meeting documentation.

AvePoint Meetings 3 SP 2 – available for SharePoint 2013 on premises and SharePoint Online – provides new features that enhance the way employees collaborate, make decisions, assign tasks and review information. New features include:

  • Touch Support and Interface Updates: AvePoint Meetings is now fully optimized for touch devices so users can manage their meetings and collaborate on-the-go. Taking and sharing meeting minutes is easier and faster with a smoother, more intuitive interface.
  • Meeting Classifications: Meeting items—including agendas and tasks—can be classified with out-of-the-box or custom tags to easily find information once the meeting ends.
  • Managed Metadata and Search: Metadata management enables users to build search queries tailored to their specific needs. Discover meeting, agenda, action, note, assignment and attachment information with full configuration. Narrow results by any relevant element—including company, department, product name, date, and location.
  • Enhanced Outlook Integration: The AvePoint Meetings Outlook Plug-in simplifies synchronization between the SharePoint application and Outlook calendar for integrated meeting and task management. Users can create new meetings directly in Outlook and maintain application capabilities within the platform they know to eliminate switching between multiple collaboration tools.
