AvePoint (NASDAQ: AVPT), the global leader in data security, governance, and resilience, announces its participation in two SharePoint Saturday (SPS) events: Johannesburg on October 14 at Microsoft, Bryanston, and Cape Town on October 21 at Sanlam Head Office, Bellville. As part of its ongoing commitment to the Microsoft community, AvePoint is a gold sponsor of the SharePoint Saturday South African series, and will revive the AvePoint RedBus that brings Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) to communities where events like SharePoint Saturdays are not otherwise held.
SharePoint Saturday is a free event aimed at the Microsoft community. Topics cover all things Microsoft, including SharePoint, Office 365, and Azure. Professionals in various areas of IT attend or volunteer at SharePoint Saturday events.
AvePoint will be available at SharePoint Saturday Johannesburg and Cape Town to share its expertise in bitcoin technology, collaboration approaches, and compliance, as well as showcase new versions of DocAve Governance Automation, Compliance Guardian, and Cloud Records.

Myburgh will be front and center for two Johannesburg sessions. The first, “Blockchain – Why the Hype?” examines blockchain, the bleeding-edge technology behind bitcoin. The second, “Taxonomy in a Hybrid SharePoint and Office 365 World”, will cover organisational structures and hierarchies in companies with on-premises SharePoint that also dabble in the cloud or hybrid Office 365 solutions.
Warren Marks, Enterprise Sales Executive at AvePoint, will lead the session, “Technology Adoption While Achieving Compliance in a Digital Workplace”.
