SharePoint is a heavily used collaboration platform, housing everything from critical project files to footy tipping competitions. Without proper lifecycle controls, Aurecon found itself storing large volumes of redundant, obsolete, or trivial (ROT) data. Without archiving protocols or versioning limits, data sprawl was undermining performance, compliance, and cost efficiency.

To take back control, Aurecon implemented a full-scale Data & Information Lifecycle Management Strategy, underpinned by AvePoint Opus. Key initiatives included:
