Meet Annie Wang, Marketing Specialist based out of our Netherlands office. She joined AvePoint in August 2011 via our Changchun CRM department. 8 months later, she transferred to the Marketing department and has since supported design as well as product and field marketing for various regions. In 2017 she moved to Germany full-time as the DACH region’s marketing specialist, and in early 2019 she moved to The Hague to support BeNeNord regional marketing.

What does a typical day look like for you?

Before I start working, I grab a cup of coffee to embrace the new day. I check emails and create a to-do-list to keep productive and concentrated. Throughout the day, I’m involved in scheduled meetings while balancing my priority list.

What do you like most about your job?

Great people on the team! My colleagues are very supportive and helpful no matter which part of the world they are based in. When I need their help, they show up and lend a hand immediately. I feel blessed to have super colleagues at AvePoint.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Movies. One of my new year’s resolutions is to see a number of movies in a year – I watched 52 movies in 2019 and 100 movies in 2020. I’ve fallen in love with Thai movies this year.

What is the one thing you can’t live without?

Family is the only answer! I haven’t lived with my family for 15 years, but I keep in contact with my parents and brother almost daily. They are so understanding and supportive.

Do you have a favorite quote?

Oprah Winfrey: “If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.”

Tell us three things most people don’t know about you.

  1. I have a recurring nightmare about taking a math exam.
  2. Ethnically, I’m Mongolian, but I do not speak the Mongolian language.
  3. I named myself “Gitana” when I joined AvePoint in 2011 and changed it to “Annie” after 3 months.
