Platform Restore: Unable to perform Granular Restore from the Platform Backup content

Details:

​When attempting to perform a Platform Restore, the View Details button is grayed out so the user can only restore the entire Content DB and not granularly.

To resolve:

  1. Confirm that the Generate Granular Restore Index for last [] backup(s) is selected in the backup plan.
  2. Confirm that a maintenance schedule has been created. Navigate to Platform Backup and Restore > Plan Manager. Select the Backup Plan, click Edit, and scroll towards the end of the plan.

​​​Also, verify that the permissions for the DocAve Agent Account have been configured as follows:

  • Local Administrator on all servers that have the DocAve Agent installed
  • Farm Administrator permissions in the SharePoint Farm
  • Full control of all Web Applications and Service Applications
  • dbcreator and securityadmin roles in SQL Server
  • db_owner permissions to all SharePoint databases​
