The latest updates to the AvePoint Confidence Platform, launching on February 9th, are designed to accelerate Copilot adoption, strengthen data security posture, and enhance governance across platforms. This release introduces the first of our purpose-built Command Centers, consolidating data insights from across the Confidence Platform into a single, unified view while offering AI-driven recommendations for next steps. With new tools and greater flexibility, February’s updates make it easier to safeguard, analyze, and manage critical data with improved resilience and efficiency.

  • MyHub General Availability: Experience improved renewals, an upgraded service catalog, unified task management, and OneDrive security assessments, all with seamless content disposition integration.
  • Unified SharePoint Analytics: tyGraph for SharePoint and tyGraph Pages are now consolidated into a single Power BI app, simplifying user property management and automating attribute mapping for efficient reporting.
  • EnPower and Copilot Studio Integration: Monitor Copilot Studio adoption with insights into agent creation and enforce policies to protect them.
  • Expanded Content Management: AvePoint Opus now supports Box and Google Storage, enhancing your content management and export capabilities.
  • Advanced Backup Support: Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 introduces data deletion support for private and shared channels, detailed job metrics for express recovery, and a streamlined experience for self-service data recoveries. Backup and recovery capabilities now include the protection of Azure DevOps Pipeline, Azure AD B2C and Azure SQL Data Backup. New zero-trust controls for Google Workspace and advanced security features for Salesforce backups are also introduced.

What's New in Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365?

 We’ve rolled out powerful enhancements to improve backup visibility, data management, and security, making it easier for organizations to manage their Microsoft 365 data with flexibility and efficiency. Users can now configure Google Cloud Storage as a Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS) option, with built-in validations to ensure secure and accurate data storage. Cloud Backup Express also provides enhanced job metrics, including start time, end time, and duration for express recovery points.

Our new interface and email updates now help users differentiate between benign unusual activities and potentially malicious suspicious files, enabling quicker and more effective responses.

Managing data is now more flexible with expanded deletion capabilities— users can search and delete files from private and shared channels, and folder-level deletion is supported for Teams and Group sites, and when restoring Exchange Online mailboxes, users can sort items (e.g., oldest first) for more precise recovery.

What’s new in Cloud Backup for Dynamics 365?

A powerful, new alerting feature now allows users and administrators to be notified of record changes. Configurable at both the record and organization levels, this feature triggers email alerts whenever an entity is added, deleted, or modified beyond an acceptable threshold. This proactive system ensures that administrators and designated recipients are informed immediately, allowing stakeholders to take swift action in the event of data loss or changes, rather than waiting for the changes to be noticed later.

What's New in Cloud Backup for Salesforce?

Cloud Backup for Salesforce now offers enhanced security, flexibility, and control. Security trimming for the end-user restore app ensures users can only see records they have access to, improving both security and experience. Scheduled data export allows users to automatically export audit logs, providing better control and convenience for reporting. Salesforce archiving is now more powerful with advanced filtering options and Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) support, making it easier to find specific records. 

Additionally, users can restore archived records, creating a more seamless and efficient archiving process. These updates make Cloud Backup for Salesforce a more secure, efficient, and user-friendly solution for managing and protecting critical data.
 

What's New in Cloud Backup for Google Workspace?

With the new public API for backup monitoring, Google backup jobs can be tracked directly through our public API, giving organizations more visibility and control over their backup processes. Additionally, zero trust controls for Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) introduce secondary admin approval, adding an extra layer of security when handling sensitive data requests. These enhancements ensure a more secure, efficient, and customizable backup experience for Google Workspace users.

What's New in Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS?

Azure AD B2C now supports backup and restore for users, subscription reports, and account management settings, while a new licensing model aligned with Entra ID simplifies your management process.  Additionally, Azure SQL data backup is now generally available, offering comprehensive protection for your databases.

Regional support has expanded to include New Zealand North (Auckland) and Qatar Central (Doha), increasing global coverage for your backups. VM backup reports now include VM names, and a notification profile selection feature will be added soon to streamline report management.

This release introduces support for Azure DevOps Pipeline, with the latest phase integrating Azure Repos Git Pipeline components for better alignment with your development workflows. Finally, enhanced Azure VM backup brings both performance and cost improvements, eliminating the need for full backups every 3 months. Now, weekly retention merges incremental backups for a more efficient and cost-effective process.

What's New in AvePoint Cloud Governance and My Hub?

The new MyHub experience is now generally available, delivering enhanced content management, governance, and security insights. Users can efficiently manage OneDrive content, review deletion requests, and take action on high-risk data within their workspaces. Administrators can enable the new experience in Cloud Governance settings, allowing a smooth transition and feature validation before full deployment. 

The latest dynamic services updates enhance control and flexibility. Administrators can restrict or allow external domains for secure collaboration, customize library settings with ease, and streamline site provisioning with built-in actions for feature activation, record management, and metadata configuration.

Import of custom user properties for use as metadata or workflow conditions within Cloud Governance allows administrators to leverage custom metadata to enhance the flexibility and specificity of governance rules and workflows This new metadata type further enhances organizational context reporting, providing deeper insights into managed objects.

For improved content lifecycle management, AvePoint Opus integration now supports site collection archiving, optimizing storage while maintaining easy access to critical data. Power BI Workspace management updates also introduce stronger governance controls, including escalation options to remove or replace users in roles, restore access, and audit activities. Users can now ensure active role membership by syncing responsible users to Power BI workspaces, providing greater oversight and control.
