Site-Level Granular Backup Backup Failing

Site-Level Granular Backups are failing at certain points throughout the backup process. The following error is seen in the Job Report:
(Type) Site Collection (Path) null Error message: Site Level Backup Backup() error:Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: Write error on file "PLAN2012082709342020121019200110_19_2012 8_01_38 PM866.dat". —> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8107020C): Write error on file "PLAN2012082709342020121019200110_19_2012 8_01_38 PM866.dat".
Cause:
Limited disk space where the temp file for the Agent settings is written.
Solution:
Clean out the folder to create more disk space, which allows the Granular Backup job to complete successfully.
