Mismatch of host name and IP address causes error applying license file

If you have issues applying a DocAve license and receive the following error, complete the following troubleshooting actions to verify your settings:

Cannot apply this license. The host name or the IP address where you want to apply this license is not included in the license file. 

This issue is caused by a mismatch of the host name and IP address in the hosts file.

  1. Ensure that the IP address specified in the license is correct.
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.
  3. Open the hosts file on the Manager Server (where the Control Service is installed) to determine if there were any changes in the file recently.
  4. Determine if the IP address and hosts name are mapped correctly for the Manager Sever.
