If you have issues applying a DocAve license and receive the following error, complete the following troubleshooting actions to verify your settings:
Cannot apply this license. The host name or the IP address where you want to apply this license is not included in the license file.
This issue is caused by a mismatch of the host name and IP address in the hosts file.
- Ensure that the IP address specified in the license is correct.
- Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.
- Open the hosts file on the Manager Server (where the Control Service is installed) to determine if there were any changes in the file recently.
- Determine if the IP address and hosts name are mapped correctly for the Manager Sever.
