Granular backup job fails at 1%

Details:
After the backup job is kicked off, the job would failed at 1%, and the Media Log contains the following error:
ERROR 03-06 16:22:57,243 1 AvePoint.Item.Backup.AveBackupBase 2405- The job failed. Job ID: FB20130306162249375373_0000 Cause: AveException: ExceptionType:Unknown. Details:Not Implemented in this layer.. More Information: http://www.DocAve.com/EventID.aspx?id=2405
Solution:
In the logical device settings, uncheck Enable syncing data to each physical device, re-save the logical device as well as the Storage Policy, and then re-run the backup.
