Details:
Export to datasheet grayed out, yet SQL Reporting Service is working.
SYMPTOMS:
The SQL Reporting Service is working properly and the test is successfully completing in the report database config tool. However, the download option in Export to datasheet is grayed out. It enables momentarily, then goes gray. The SQL Reporting Service is using Native Mode.
CAUSE:
A Response code of 403 was seen in the logs and the log files in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles showed an error regarding permissions after trying to export to datasheet.
SOLUTION:
The Account used for the SQL Reporting Service needs to be the same account used for the DocAve Report Service itself. In other words, the log-on user for the service in the Windows services needs to be set as the user for the SQL Reporting Service in the DocAve database configuration tool on the Manager. Also, this account must be added to the Local Admin group on that same server where the Report Service is installed. After this, restart the Report Service and then try to export a datasheet.
