Details:
When trying to migrate Exchange Public folders to SharePoint, during migration, the folders named PublicFolder (root names of selected sub-folders) are being created. The user wants to put the Public folders inside a designated folder in SharePoint.
SYMPTOMS:
When trying to migrate Exchange Public folders to SharePoint, during migration, the folders named PublicFolder (root names of selected sub-folders) are being created. The user wants to put the Public folders inside a designated folder in SharePoint.
CAUSE:
This issue is caused by selecting the Create root folder and Use full path as target name options.
SOLUTION:
To resolve this issue, use the default settings for the migration; nothing should be checked under Migration settings except for Use conversation as discusstion threads.
