The following guide provides two procedures to choose whether or not you would like to disconnect from the server farm using the Microsoft Sharepoint Products Configuration wizard. In most cases, if there is a total farm loss, it is recommended that you Disconnect from Server Farm and Rebuild before perming a full restore. If the farm is still functional on some level, you can choose the Do Not Disconnect from the Server Farm and Rebuild option.
