Measuring What Matters – Our People!

-

As an organization, AvePoint is performance driven. Our leadership team challenges us to be the best versions of ourselves. As an employee, this translates to growing, learning, and never becoming stagnant, and as a business this means pivoting and expanding, ensuring our products stay relevant, and continuing to satisfy our customers’ evolving needs.

From a people perspective, our key performance indicators aren’t as clear-cut as a sales target or number, but they’re still quantifiable. Have a look at how the Australian team stacks up!

$7,000+ for Giving Back

This figure is the amount of dollars the AU team has donated to various charities throughout 2019. Let’s take a closer look!

Q1 & Q2

January through June, our fundraising dollars went towards a few different causes: supporting a children’s hospital, educating women in Africa, and funding research for Bowel Cancer Australia. Learn more here.

Q3 & Q4

July through December we were just as busy! The team participated in a 19k run to raise money and awareness for pediatric brain cancer, donated blood and dollars to the Red Cross, and participated in a cooking workshop for Our Big Kitchen which provides meals for the disadvantaged.

What’s the “+” in “$7,000+” for?

Time! Let’s not forget about our volunteer outing at the Collingwood Children’s Farm. We swapped our desk jobs for manual labor and spent an afternoon in the dirt removing an invasive weed species and saving local vegetation.

$9,500 for Education

As much as we enjoy hosting workshops and being thought leaders (featured above are Alyssa Blackburn and Paul Olenick at our Records Roadshow), we also like to continue learning ourselves. Through our tuition reimbursement program, we’re reimbursed for job-related education costs. This year, eight employees in the AU office capitalized on this program. The course fees are just a small investment with great return, and we aim to increase participation next year!

$1,000+ Towards Recognition

Each quarter at AvePoint there are global peer recognition awards. Three winners receive $1,000 each for outstanding work in one of our core values: Agility, Passion, or Teamwork. Last quarter Joanne Chang, our local Marketing Manager, won in the category of Passion!

What’s the + for this time?

In addition to peer recognition awards, we very much recognize great work year-round! Whether it’s in our Microsoft Teams Channel for shout outs or the fact that a quarter of our Australian team experienced a promotion or role change in 2019, talent doesn’t go unnoticed here.

75% and Climbing for Tenure

In the Australian offices 75% of our workforce have been employed for one year or longer. From that number 34% have been here for at least 4 years! A lot of factors tie into employee retention and tenure, but I’m sure our quarterly team events and ad-hoc outings are playing a part.

So, where do you measure up? Think you have what it takes to join our team and contribute to these numbers? Check out our openings today!
