The latest DocAve Governance Automation release features automated lifecycle operations for recertification, site sprawl reduction, and better insights for end users

With the latest release of AvePoint’s SharePoint governance solution, organizations can provide end users with a business-centric, role-based service catalog for provisioning, restructuring, or migrating content across cloud-hosted, hybrid, or on-premises SharePoint deployments.

DocAve Governance Automation allows organization to easily manage SharePoint lifecycle and permissions management requests to transcend the capabilities of rigid provisioning and security management solutions. New features include:

Automated Lifecycle Operations for Recertification: DocAve Governance Automation can now enforce policies requiring that site owners recertify the ownership, current permissions, and relevance of their of SharePoint sites. With this new release, the recertification process has been enhanced to allow for site lifecycle actions like locking, archiving, and deleting if the recertification is not completed in the required timeframe.

Site Sprawl and Redundant Workspace Reduction: To eliminate confusion and sprawl inherent in duplicate sites and content, users can search for existing sites or site collections that may serve the same purpose as the one they wish to create.

Organizational KPIs and ROI Dashboard: IT administrators can now access a high-level report that shows trends and metrics on how both SharePoint and DocAve Governance Automation are being used. The dashboard aggregates detailed reports on user requests, approval activity, as well as sites and site collections into graphs based on user activity, request activity, or site details.

Better Insights for End Users and Data Owners: DocAve Governance Automation enhances the value of its SharePoint “My Sites” report by allowing site owners to not only view a list of their sites, but also initiate service requests directly from the report.
