The new release of AvePoint’s SharePoint file share presentation solution – part of the award-winning DocAve Software platform – features full support for SharePoint 2016. Organizations can now take advantage of Microsoft’s latest on-premises platform while providing users with seamless access to all file share content.

DocAve File Share Navigator removes the barriers to seamless global collaboration by exposing large files, rich media, and a variety other file share content in SharePoint Server 2016, SharePoint Server 2013, and SharePoint Server 2010 without the need for costly migration from file shares to SharePoint. Organizations can easily provide IT administrators and business users with access to SharePoint’s robust security, search, versioning, and collaborative co-authoring features for content residing in file shares.

Additional new features include:

Simplified Control: Administrators are now able to granularly control users’ ability to preview documents at the SharePoint list level. This helps organizations strengthen data security across SharePoint and file share content.

Updated User Interface: The user interface for document uploads is now updated to HTML 5, which provides broader internet browser support to include Google Chrome.
