The A'dam Tower is the former Shell office and now offers event spaces, hotel and offices with a breathtaking views.
Just across the river IJ, behind the central station of Amsterdam, the venue is the perfect mix for our first Shift Happens. Easy to reach by public transport with a free boat ride across the IJ.
During the break you will be offered a chance to go to the A'DAM Lookout (an observation deck with an unparalleled panoramic view of Amsterdam). Do you dare to try the swings on top of the building?
From Hacker to Top Security Expert
Greg van der Gaast got his start in security as a teenager who hacked a nuclear weapons facility and went on to work covertly for the US government. At #shifthappens, Greg will take you on a journey, full of easy to understand analogies, about how security can be so much more and more effective than what it is today. Something that can not only be much better at reducing risks, but doing so in a way that bolsters the company's efficiency and bottom line rather than weighing on it.
