  1. This will be my third year attending SPC and my second year presenting. I look forward to this event every year – it’s always an absolute blast. Just non-stop information, networking and fun.

Two moments that stick out to me:
    1. I have done a lot of presenting at conferences, user groups etc. But the morning of my session I walked into the room for my tech check and it was absolutely enormous! Several giant screens hanging from the ceiling so people in the middle and back could see – I felt like I was giving the keynote 🙂 My heart jumped out of my shirt, but then I just got into my groove and had a great session. I’ll never forget that moment though!

    2. I remember being at AvePoint’s Red Party and it’s in this amazing club with thumping music. And there’s this line of people standing up on the bar, sweaty and dancing. And they’re all these SharePoint people whose blogs, books and careers I’ve followed from afar for years. Was really fun to see them all together, in that setting, cutting loose!

Oh, yeah, and Dux Raymond Sy doing Gangnam Style flash mob (and reprise at the club later)!

Looking forward to making new memories this year! See you there.

  2. My first SPC was in 2009, I flew over from Australia and it was a great experience meeting all the community members that I had spoke with online or consumed their content on their blogs. It was great to meet like minded people and share war stories of how SharePoint impacted our careers and everyday work life! The best thing about this community is that everyone is willing to SHARE their ideas and help others, I love it!

  3. This will be my, I think 5th SPC here in the US and coming up with a single best memory is pretty hard. Here’s what comes to mind…

SPC 2009 was here Vegas and the year that Huey Lewis and the News concert was main Microsoft evening event. We ran into Huey Lewis who walked into the small bar where we were having a drink. The funniest part that while he completely ignored one friend of mine who was trying to chat him up, Huey hit on my attractive friend and former co-worker.

My first Red Party was in 2011, Anaheim, not long after I joined the AvePoint team. I got a lot of funny looks and commentary on my “wicked dance moves.” 🙂

Late 2012 SPC here in Vegas was also pretty amazing with the Guns n’ Roses concert. A bunch of SPCers like Michael Noel, Joel Oleson, Paul Swider and others caught an amazing 3-hour show they did. It was a great way to finish off an incredible week of education and entertainment!
