Platform Backup job completes with exceptions (certain items were skipped because they no longer exist)

Issue:

​Platform Backup jobs complete with exceptions stating that certain items were skipped because they no longer exist within SharePoint.

 

Cause:

The root cause is because those components have been deleted in SharePoint by the customer or those components are not available. Either the node of those components still exists in the PR backup plan or the parent item that was associated with the component has not been removed within SharePoint. 

 

Solution:

DocAve can’t find those components when performing a backup, so it is normal behavior for DocAve to skip the item since it technically does not exist. To resolve, either reconfigure the backup plan, or remove the parent item/node within SharePoint that the skipped item was previously associated with.
