Error Received in DocAve 6.0.1 to SP1 Upgrade

When upgrading to DocAve 6 SP1 from version 6.0.1, an error is received stating that the upgrade cannot find a specified UNC Path for upgrade materials.

Cause:

There may be an end-user error where attributes within the C:\Program Files\AvePoint\DocAve6\Manager\Work folder have been altered. This folder is a common folder for the DocAve 6 Manager and is the default folder that stores the Manager generated file; it is similar to the folder …DocAve5\Manager\UserData in DocAve 5.

Solution:

In the aforementioned DocAve 6 Manager folder, there are four options:

1. Folder is ready for archiving
2. Allow files in this folder to have contents indexed id addition to file properties
3. Compress contents to save disk space
4. Encrypt contents to secure data

Options 1, 3, and 4 should not be checked, while option 2 should be checked. The upgrade should complete successfully once these options are properly selected.
