I’d like to wish each and every one of you a very happy and prosperous New Year! As we start 2014, this is a time where many businesses – including our own – are reviewing successes and failures of the past year with an eye to what the future holds.
At AvePoint we don’t look back very often, we make it a point to constantly look ahead to what’s next. Where is the next challenge? What’s the next trend shaping our industry?
With that said, we would be doing ourselves a disservice if we entirely ignored the gains and successes we made over the past year. 2013 was a record breaking year at AvePoint in many ways – we had a record number of product releases, expanded into new major solution areas, revamped our focus on major core pillars of collaboration, and garnered more industry accolades than ever before, not to mention achieving three consecutive record breaking quarters.
It’d be one thing to sit back and be satisfied with where we are today, but if our last 12 years as a company are an indication of our future, that can’t be further from the case. Our customers haven’t stopped growing and evolving, and consequently, we cannot stop either.
The market has known us for our heritage in SharePoint infrastructure management, but what 2014 is bringing to bear is our rapid evolution toward becoming a full-services solution provider across all things enterprise collaboration: across disparate data systems and platforms on-premises, in the cloud, or hybrid models – even into CRM systems and mobile solutions. In short, we are becoming a collaboration enabler, not just a SharePoint infrastructure solutions provider.
This is evidenced by where our solution engagements are headed, such as:
· Helping government agencies design end-to-end document management solutions that are an integral part of their digital journey
· Implementing large-scale, cloud-based case management systems that fully integrate with legacy and new-generation PBX systems in 27 countries
· Acting as a trusted partner and adviser to some of the largest global financial institutions’ overall knowledge management solutions and initiatives
· Designing and implementing citizen resource management portals that are fully accessible as well as compliant with regard to privacy concerns to help bridge the digital divide for everyday citizens
We’ve all seen the trends that have shaped the business and technology landscape over the last couple of years, which are still prevalent today: big data, cloud, mobile, social, et cetera. Myriad new technologies are on the market today to improve productivity in some form or fashion. It’s not just one technology, one repository, one set of data. There is so much information out there that businesses want to harness, protect, and manage so that they can use it to drive innovation.
That’s where AvePoint comes in.
We’re continuing to work with the world’s largest organizations to be a collaboration enabler – no matter where the data is coming from – by helping you manage, govern, protect, and secure your data. With our expansion into mobility solutions, we’re also helping organizations embrace today’s BYOD reality of information anywhere, anytime, on any device.
These are exciting times as we have a unique opportunity to help embrace and shape the next generation of the modern workplace. Expect more news from us as we step up our tempo in expanding our solutions to help enable enterprise collaboration.
It’d be easy to hunker down in a technology industry facing tons of consolidation and stick with what has been tried and true, but it has never been about just a single piece of technology. Our mission has always been to help companies work better together, be it SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Office 365, Azure, Yammer, your file shares, or otherwise. It’s not always easy – and there are always challenges and obstacles along the way when you’re trying something new – but nothing in business ever comes easy. The future goes to those who are confident, willing to take calculated risks, and challenge traditional thought. I’m excited for what 2014 holds for us, and to our customers and partners, I want to sincerely thank you for all your support! Please continue to watch us as we grow to not only meet but exceed your expectations.
