Proudly supporting our local communities through employee volunteering around the world.
Impacting Humanity During the Holidays
Year-end holidays are another inspiring reason for AvePoint to reach out to those in need in hopes of making someone's holiday a little brighter.
In 2016, our London office participated in the Annual Christmas Jumper Day to help raise money for Save the Children UK. On Christmas Jumper Day, individuals, companies, and other groups get together in their favorite festive sweater knits and collect donations for Save the Children. It's a fun way to get involved with a cause, show holiday spirit, and make a difference all at once.
The Jersey City office also supported Frosty's Friends through the Jersey Cares organization. The nonprofit connects children in need with corporate groups throughout New Jersey. Each employee who volunteered to participate received letters written by children between the ages of 3-16 with their holiday wish list. We contributed more than 50 gifts to local kids to make their holiday wishes come true!
Supporting the Local Community
Since 2015, our Jersey City team worked with a local chapter of The Salvation Army Community Center after-school and daycare program. The Salvation Army's after-school and daycare programs provide a safe place for kids between 8 weeks and 14 years old to play and learn in a supervised, constructive environment. Over the past two years, volunteering with the organization has enabled AvePoint to offer hands-on support to kids in the community. Volunteers engage with the kids by offering help with homework, playing sports, doing arts and crafts, and other fun social activities.
Leaving a Global Footprint
AvePoint's Global Outreach program is truly a global initiative – with all of our offices getting involved and supporting charitable organizations. Our goal is to leave a global footprint to make a difference.
From the APAC region, our teams in Melbourne and Tokyo partner with different charities. Our Melbourne team regularly supports the Hamodova Café, a facility run by the Salvation Army, by preparing breakfast, lunch, and serving coffee for more than 200 Australians living on the margins of society. The team assists at the café by washing dishes, preparing and serving meals, taking orders, and chatting with customers who visited the café in central Melbourne.
Our Tokyo team visits the welfare facility for the disabled at Japan's Red Cross Medical Center to interact with and assist individuals with physical and mental disabilities. The team spends time with people playing games, having tea, and having conversations to bring some cheer into their day.
