AvePoint Compliance Guardian Adds Box Support to Provide Unified Risk Management Across Enterprise IT Systems
The new AvePoint Risk Intelligence System (ARIS) begins the risk management process by providing a cloud hosted, automated system for Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
Jersey City, New Jersey — October 11, 2016 — AvePoint, the Microsoft Cloud expert, today announced the general availability the latest version of AvePoint Compliance Guardian. featuring full support for protecting content residing in cloud-based file sharing system Box. With the new release of AvePoint’s unified risk management platform, organizations can now ensure that their data is safeguarded wherever it is stored.
Unified Risk Management Across the Enterprise with AvePoint Compliance Guardian
Compliance Guardian with Box support has already been deployed within some of the biggest global enterprises today, providing the ability to understand and act upon data risks where users work – including Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, file shares, and databases – as well as increases the reach of real-time and scheduled scanning to provide comprehensive Data Centric Audit and Protection (DCAP). Within scans, administrators can take actions such as delete, quarantine, move, and send notifications to effectively secure every piece of content and protect sensitive information.
AvePoint Compliance Guardian helps organizations mitigate risk from the moment data is created through its entire lifecycle – proactively monitoring and neutralizing violations of privacy, security, and compliance. Organizations can access individualized reports and dashboards to surface issues as well as resolve them, automatically delegating violations to the right people to be addressed prior to costly fines.
“As the pace of business continues to speed up to meet the demands of customers, employees must find the quickest way possible to complete their day to day work to keep up,” said Dana Simberkoff, Chief Compliance and Risk Officer, AvePoint. “However, this often leads employees to manage data on systems that have not been deployed with adequate security, privacy, and data loss controls. With the latest release of AvePoint Compliance Guardian, organizations can deploy their collaboration systems with confidence that they have appropriately implemented the necessary measures, no matter what platform is preferred by employees.”
Introducing the AvePoint Risk Intelligence System (ARIS)
AvePoint also announced the launch of AvePoint Risk Intelligence System (ARIS), which allows organizations to automate the process of privacy impact and risk assessments, providing a repeatable process for tracking personal information as it is created, collected, shared, and disposed across the organization. The solution, hosted in an enterprise-ready private cloud, helps organizations easily conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and risk impact assessments to meet requirements for global privacy legislation such as the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and ISO 27001 and 27002. The system also allows users to create and maintain a centralized repository where sensitive content can live across IT systems in order to assess privacy and security risk.
