Under Budget 2025, up to S$150 million will be allocated to the Enterprise Compute Initiative (ECI) to support Singapore-based companies in their AI transformation journey. We can also expect an investment of at least S$1 billion over five years to build up AI compute infrastructure, nurture local talent, and strengthen industry capabilities as part of the National AI Strategy (NAIS) 2.0. This includes plans to triple the number of AI practitioners to 15,000 and set up AI Centres of Excellence to accelerate innovation and drive economic growth.
