While trying to perform a SharePoint content deployment job of a site collection that used Connector, the user receives the following error: :exception: Failed to find the XML file at location ’12\Template\Features\AveFSDLEventHandler\Feature.xml’
SYMPTOMS:
While trying to perform a SharePoint content deployment job of a site collection that used Connector, the customer receives the following error: :exception: Failed to find the XML file at location ’12\Template\Features\AveFSDLEventHandler\Feature.xml’
CAUSE:
This issue is due to the Connector solution not being deployed to the destination site collection. Deploy the solution file to the destination.
SOLUTION:
If the destination is another farm that has never used Connector, copy the Connector solutions in the drivers folder to the destination Web front-end and deploy the solutions using STSADM to add the solution:
stsadm -o addsolution -filename c:\avepoint
In this case, the solution was put into a folder on the C:\ drive called ‘avepoint’.
