On Friday, June 29th, Metalogix announced they were sold to Quest Software for an undisclosed amount.

Back in January, we disclosed to the market that Metalogix had put themselves up for sale so that customers could properly assess the risk and potential impact this would have on the continuity of their IT processes and policies for SharePoint and Office 365.

Many likely made plans and decisions based on language from Metalogix and their CEO that led them to believe that they were not for sale. Some may even feel trapped and misled if they signed a long-term contract.
