Data Privacy Day 2014: Learn, Test, and Take Action #DPD14

Taking place every year on January 28, Data Privacy Day is an international effort to empower and educate people to protect their privacy and control their digital footprint. AvePoint is proud to be a champion of this year’s event. The day couldn’t come at a better time, of course, as it’s hot on the heels of a year when the topic of privacy was more talked about than ever. It was so prominent, in fact, that Dictionary.com named “privacy” the Word of the Year for 2013.

At AvePoint, we take data privacy very seriously, and it plays a large role in how we help more than 13,000 customers worldwide collaborate with confidence. We believe that it is never too soon to ensure your organization is well versed in both the risks and the realities that revolve around data privacy in order to protect against potential breaches and security threats. And certainly, Data Privacy Day is a perfect day to dive into the topic. We’re happy to provide resources that can help you learn about data privacy, test your existing environments for issues, as well as offer products that help you take action and mitigate risk of privacy violations to avoid costly fines and a damaged reputation.
