AvePoint condemns the invasion of Ukraine. We are deeply saddened by the images of families leaving their homes and remain inspired by the brave Ukrainians fighting for their freedom. It is in times like this that we are reminded of the importance for people around the world to unite and advance the cause for peace and prosperity for all individuals.
We are opposed to war and violence of any kind. Russia’s ongoing onslaught on the people of Ukraine is one of the most appalling types of war. Innocent citizens should not live in fear of aerial attacks or heavy artillery on their homes, schools, and medical facilities. They should not have to take refuge in bomb shelters, flee their homes, or suffer the loss of running water, electricity, and gas.
Many of us have not lived through a war. We can only guess what the people of Ukraine are facing based on what we hear on the news and see on social media. What we do know is that there is a humanitarian crisis happening with over 3.5 million refugees have been forced to flee Ukraine.
Providing all the support we can is not only the right thing to do, but it’s also desperately needed. In times of humanitarian crises like this, acts of compassion and generosity can make a huge difference.
