Hey all! As you may have heard, industry veteran and Microsoft MVP Loryan Strant recently came out with a migration tool speed test report that pitted AvePoint Cloud Fly against BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate Desktop, and SkySync Go.
The Goal
Determining who could migrate 327 ISO files (3.46GB of data each) from Box, Dropbox, and OneDrive for Business sources to a OneDrive for Business destination.
The Result
AvePoint Cloud Fly managed to come out on top in nearly every category, including:
- Number of Platforms Supported
- Performance
- User Experience
- Number of Features
- Least Amount of Errors
The Reason
We didn’t simply commission the report for fun, of course. Over the course of the eighteen-odd years that we’ve been operating in this space, we’ve learned that migration speed is one of the most important factors in a company’s successful transition to the cloud.
Whether it’s internal time pressure or a need to reach the cloud before a competitor, we knew how important it was to show clients the speed, efficiency, and reliability of our solution compared to that of our competitors.
Why it Matters to You
It’s no secret that cloud collaboration is the new gold standard for how organizations across industries operate. And as the needs of organizations evolve from simply needing cloud storage or chat solutions, more and more will continue to move to Office 365 to leverage its vast array of productivity and collaboration apps. If you haven’t already made the move, you likely will in the next several years.
That said, choosing a cloud migration strategy can get pretty expensive depending on the size of your organization. We all have limited budgets to work within when buying from vendors, and no one wants to be responsible for choosing slow or buggy software. Your time is valuable, and we respect that.
So we hope this new report encourages other vendors to step their game up. Vague claims of speed and efficiency don’t do anyone any good, especially when you’re making a choice that could mean the difference between beating a competitor to market and losing a significant chunk of your customer base.
