Microsoft Teams apps are an easy way to enhance your collaboration experience. If you’re tired of leaving the Teams platform to handle things like planning your week, managing your Teams, and watching videos, apps built into the Teams interface are incredibly convenient. What are the most essential apps everyone should have by default, though? Read on for another five must-have Microsoft Teams apps for every tenant.

1) Planner

Planner is an amazing way to keep track of tasks for you and your team. One of the greatest things about Planner is that it’s already integrated with Microsoft Teams. Each Planner board is associated with a Team. You can navigate across your existing plans or create new ones in the app, and it’s super easy to add Planner for any given Team via the channel tabs.

Planner allows you to create and sort boards for each objective, and manage and assign tasks as well. As tasks are completed, Planner gives you progress analytics and the users assigned to each task, making it super easy for you to keep track of your Teams progress.

2) Request a Team App

Need a solution to help mitigate Teams creation? Microsoft has a free app that allows you to put a powerful templating and approval process behind the creation of Teams. Simply leverage the Microsoft Teams request and creation process and add an additional layer of control around who can provision Teams!

The Request a Team app gives users a simple report that allows them to keep track of the requests they’ve submitted along with the status of those requests. In addition, it’s simple to incorporate Power Automate as part of this process to add additional layered actions, notifications, or other automated tasks.

Workspaces can be created right from within the app, and Team owners can manage membership, handle requests, and much more.

MyHub is a great way to increase productivity and adoption for Microsoft Teams, especially if your users and admin teams are feeling overwhelmed. In addition, there are tons of governance lifecycle, security, and process management capabilities available as a powerful add-on to help your organization manage and secure collaboration across Microsoft 365 without hindering productivity.

4) ScrumGenius

ScrumGenius is an amazing way to keep track of recurring meetings and the progress associated with meeting goals. You can use ScrumGenius to automate the invites and tasks associated with recurring meetings while also taking notes for each meeting and project. ScrumGenius makes it easy to manage projects as well as organize the information that invariably accumulates with recurring appointments.

As the name implies, the app is developed to help manage teams using the Scrum Methodology for their Project Management and is versatile enough to handle a wide variety of project types.
