New Microsoft Case Study: Financial Company Uses Collaboration Solution to Promote Corporate Unity

Microsoft recently published a case study about Sanlam, a leading financial services group based in South Africa that operates throughout Africa, India, and the United Kingdom. In order to provide an effective collaboration environment for its 10,000-plus employees and simplify its IT infrastructure, Sanlam chose to migrate from its existing technologies, including Lotus Notes, to Microsoft SharePoint 2010.

In order to carry out the migration and manage the company’s SharePoint 2010 environment, Sanlam worked with AvePoint and partner Intervate, utilizing the DocAve Software Platform.

Benefits of the SharePoint 2010 implementation experienced by Sanlam include:

· Better collaboration, decision making, and efficiency
· A unified corporate environment
· Flexible, easy-to-implement architecture
· Lower IT costs due to SharePoint’s unified infrastructure and shared services model

To learn more about Sanlam’s SharePoint success, read the new case study hosted on Microsoft.com.
