My Experience at Microsoft Ignite The Tour: Copenhagen

Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that it canceled all in-person events and that they’re going digital until July 2021. This means Microsoft Ignite: The Tour was the last major Microsoft event people could’ve physically attended for quite some time.

As a proud sponsor of different Microsoft events—not to mention one of the best parties of the year, the AvePoint Red Party—all of us at AvePoint are certainly saddened but understanding to hear this news. That said, we had an absolute blast attending Ignite: The Tour and meeting our partners and customers around the world. We were able to connect with different people from different industries and countries.

As an attendee of Ignite the Tour: Copenhagen, I was able to talk on different levels and topics such as sustainable adoption, migration strategies, and governing your Office 365 environment with self-service and operational control. Beyond speaking in person, I was able to connect with many new and interesting people via LinkedIn as well.

Throughout the conference I was able to attend great sessions covering everything under the sun, including Azure DevOps, top management issues in Microsoft 365, compliance and governance, and adoption and change management best practices.

And, of course, it’s nice to be with colleagues from around Europe who you’d normally see just once in a while or via a Microsoft Teams call. We had some good fun with table tennis and other games in the play area :D!

So now that all events are going digital—like our online ShiftHappens conference—I’ll miss all the 1-on-1s and fun interactions. Hopefully after June 2021 we can meet and greet in-person again.
