AvePoint Giving Back

Our AvePoint Philanthropy program is dedicated to impacting humanity and driving change through three core pillars: technology, community, and education. We’ve worked hard to support our local communities through various activities, partnerships, and donations. Read on to discover what we’ve been up to lately!

We recently donated AvePoint Citizen Services to the City of Richmond. AvePoint Citizen Services is a cloud-based case management and incident reporting platform built on Microsoft technology. RVA 311 is the name of the platform where citizens, businesses, and visitors can submit non-emergency requests—be it a broken streetlight, pothole, or damaged infrastructure—and the platform will instantly tag the location and route the case to the appropriate agencies and technicians to accelerate services. The city will even be able to leverage predictive analytics to anticipate future infrastructure outages, repairs, and resources.

In May, one of our Richmond employees came up with a volunteering activity after a conversation with a parent at a local elementary school. Our Richmond office helped run Carver Elementary School’s annual field day and gave the teachers some well-deserved rest before the end of the school year. Volunteers handed out snacks, organized games with the kids, and played in managed the bouncy house!

In June, our AvePoint Public Sector staff hosted an open house in the Arlington office. This event was designed to bring customers, partners, and industry professionals together to talk tech, network, and raise money through a raffle for Girls Who Code. Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization that aims to support and increase the number of women in computer science. 100% of the proceeds from the raffle went to benefit the non-profit. Attendees also enjoyed barbeque, drinks, and good company!

In early July, our Jersey City office partnered with The Friends of Liberty State Park, an all-volunteer organization that engages in many projects with the free and green park vision. The non-profit’s mission is to advocate protection, maintain beauty, and promote this urban state park. AvePoint volunteers got their hands dirty by gardening, weeding, and mulching one of the park’s garden beds.

Our Munich office recently combined their “Friday Drinks” with a collection of donations for a local charity organization, Weisser Rabe. Weisser Rabe engages in various fields of public and social life and runs second-hand warehouses with collected donations. Items donated by AvePoint included clothes, household items, and toys. The office also recently donated blood with the Bavarian Red Cross.

Stay tuned for more on our volunteering program as we continue to support our local communities!
