Secure Your VIP Access to the AvePoint RED Party at Microsoft Ignite 2015 #MSIgnite #AvePointRED

If you attended SharePoint Conference in years past, you most likely know the legacy of the AvePoint RED Party. You’ve seen the line for passes at the AvePoint booth snaking around the exhibit hall floor. You’ve heard stories and witnessed the frenzy on social media before, during, and after the event. Perhaps you’ve even attended one (or several!) of the events and have more than a few tales of RED Party lore. But you haven’t seen anything yet!

  1. Speaking from past TechEd experiences, AvePoint does a great job presenting their product and will take the time to show you how it fits in your environment as well. Second to that, those with NetApp Storage Arrays could benefit as well from seeing one of their demo’s.

      • Disappointed that I was never able to make it to one of the TechEd conferences. I have a degree in Educational Technology and thought that they would have been some great conferences.
        See you all at Ignite!

    • TechEd has always been great. Ignite looks to be even better. Chicago is a great place to have it as it’s in the middle of the country and neither East and West coast have to travel too far.

        • Coming from Canada, was great to be able to get there on a direct flight as well. Hoping for good weather though, as I have always enjoyed the nice warm conference locals before 🙂

    • Me too. Hoping that this change of venue works out considering the amount of people expected to attend.

    • Chicago is a fantastic city. Watch the “Countdown to Ignite” series on the Channel 9 Forum to get some really good ideas for what to do there.

    • I’ve only been to Chicago once before and had a blast – that was back in the late ’90s for the Consumer Electronics Show. There is so much to see and do, and so little time during a conference like this 🙁

    • I agree, I have been to TechED in 2012 which was sold out. I can’t imagine how big this is going to be because they are combining TechED and MMS all in one. At least that’s the impression I get from the things I read online.

      • It is either going to be a logistical nightmare or a work of art moving all these people back and forth from the convention center.

  2. If I don’t get a VIP pass, how do I get a regular invite? This is the first I’ve heard of the “RED” party?

    • Hi Jim! Thanks for asking – alternatively, you may reach out to your AvePoint Account Representative to be added to our list, OR, stop by AvePoint booth #568 during expo hours prior to Tuesday evening!

  3. How to do this without looking like a spammer… Sounds like fun. Ignite’s going to be a blast in many ways.

  4. Wow, RED looks like a great event. I hope Ignite will be filled with great things.

I second Jim M’s question because I don’t want to look like a spammer for trying to get a VIP.

    Thanks!

    • Hey Jung,

Valid question! You may reach out to your AvePoint Account Representative to be added to our list, OR, stop by AvePoint booth #568 during expo hours prior to Tuesday evening!

Hope to see you there one way or another!

  5. How do one sign up without being the elite 50? I really don’t want to wait on the long line like last year in Vegas….

    • Hi Haichih! To get signed up outside of this contest, the best thing to do is reach out to your AvePoint account manager. Thanks!

  6. Looking forward to Ignite although I can’t figure out how I might find my way to an invite to this party 😛 I suppose I will have to beg 😀
    Cheers!

    • I think many of us are wondering about that too jgerard. Since some of us don’t have that AvePoint account manager option. I believe the best thing is to get to know more about AvePoint and the services they provide. Maybe some of their service can help your company in the future. I have seen AvePoint at TechED 2012 and 2013 but never heard of them having events until this year. Check out their demo at the Ignite EXPO and maybe you will find luck there!

    • Looks interesting. I’ve never been to a RED party, though I’ve been to many fun vendor parties at TechED over the years and look forward to this.

As far as Ignite goes, I’m looking forward to exploring Chicago, learning about all the new things Microsoft will be doing, and networking.

  7. Went to the RED party at SPC a few years ago. One of the best parties during the conference. However only 50 VIPs? Weak

    • Hi Jonathan. Glad you enjoyed the RED Party at SPC! Which year did you attend?

Regarding your comment about only 50 VIPs, that is just for this specific promotion.

Hope we’ll see you in Chicago!

      • Hey Franklin! I attended SPC 2012 in Vegas. The RED party was at Vanity…good times! Even though there are only 50 VIPs this year, I hope I’m one of them haha.

I will be at Ignite and plan on stopping by the booth. We’ve used DocAve Granular Backup and Recovery for years.

      • Are there other ways to attain VIP status or are those spots already filled? Thanks, and thanks for giving us this opportunity, this will be my second SPC and I missed out on the Red Party last time.

  8. How many tickets (or wristbands) do you anticipate giving out this year? I know they were very limited in the past, even though it was a huge party.

  9. The RED party concept sounds great, and that looks like a really nice venue.
Looking forward to Ignite & Chicago!

  10. Looking forward to it! I’ve heard a lot of great things about the RED party from co-workers that have attended in previous years.

  11. This will be my 1st time attending the RED party. What are the things I need to know about the party?

    • Chuck, things to know:
      -Wear RED!
      -Wear comfortable dancing shoes.
-Be prepared for a super fun evening with 1500 of your closest friends (or who will be at end of the night)!

      • Looking forward to it! I’ll be the guy who thinks he can dance but has no moves.

  12. Sounds like a neat promotion. I hear this is the go to party of the conference. Hope to be invited.

  13. Union Station is huge and a good idea (I was asked by the local AvePoint folks for a place big enough and it looks like they found it on their own.) Soooo there is VIP access and regular access? how do you get tickets for regular access again (for those who don’t make the 50 cut ;-))

    • Franklin T upthread said to reach out to your AvePoint account manager–we’re going to do that as well.

  14. I, alas, have no RED party memories, which means it’s just that much more essential to start creating some this year!

I’m looking forward to learning more about Yammer, because it’s big in my company right now, but also to see just how all these products under one roof (so to speak) will mesh…

  15. The Red Party is always a highlight of the conference. My favorite memory is dancing and having a good time with fellow SharePoint community members. I’m looking forward to learning about the roadmap at Ignite.

  16. Can’t wait! Looking forward to dancing with you Julie. Fave memory: dancing the night away in Anaheim with Mary Leigh!

  17. This is an interesting experiment in gameification. The Red party was a lot of fun last year. Can’t wait to see what AvePoint has in store this year!

  18. My red party memories stretch back quite a ways and I have so many good memories from them. AvePoint is not only a great product, but also a great community contributor and organizer.

  19. So at Union station we can recreate the Pram scene from the Untouchables movie except in the carriage will be the code base for SP 2016 😉

  20. Hi!
What is your favorite RED Party memory? Well i have to say that i didn’t attend the party in Vegas due to other obligations that was much less fun 😉

What are you looking forward to most about Ignite? Easy, to meet and connect with lots of wonderful people as well as many of the session!

  21. I’m looking forward to see what’s new in SharePoint 2016 and what’s in the roadmap for Office 365. And all the great parties especially the RED one :).

  22. Will the VIP for the Red Party will be contacted by email? Or Will there be a post for the selected VIPs? Or we have to find out at the AvePoint booth at Ignite?

    • Hi Haichih! All VIPs will be contacted via email in advance of the party. Please stay tuned!

      • Thank you Frank! I hope I will receive a VIP party invite email. AvePoint Red Party Rock! 🙂

  23. •What is your favorite RED Party memory? Cant remember. Its a little blurry…
•What are you looking forward to most about Ignite? Too meet all the crazy sharepoint people in the world

  24. My favorite RED Party memory – too much fun … and indeed cannot remember the evening… 🙂
What Am I looking forward to most about Ignite – my all time fav event ..meet the SP gurus under one roof and learn from the masters!! meet friends…. there’s just so much to look forward to..

  25. I’ve always gotten a lot out of TechEd and can’t wait to go to Ignite. I love meeting colleagues from all over the world and getting lots of great information about emerging technology.

  26. Looking forward to Ignite. haven’t never been to a RED party…not even sure what it is? But I love the Avepoint Products….and the customer service is outstanding!

  27. I agree with my co-worker about AvePoint products and support. My goal at this event is to meet up and hear how the product suite will be able to scale in our hybrid deployment scenarios.

  28. Looking forward to yet another RED party, i was glad and my customers too that we got VIP last year, RED is the hottest party at former SharePoint conferences, my best RED was at Hard Rock in LV, TAO last year was a great venue but WAY to many people – thats why i was glad for the VIP section.

So happy commenting chasing thoose point, i will focus on selling some licenses 🙂

  29. We need a New Years eve like count down timer.. Getting excited for filling my brain and having fun with my colleagues!

  30. Thanx for organizing the RED parties. Loved it at the last SP Conf. The bar just keeps getting raised.

  31. Really happy to be part of this Community! Looking forward to experience Chicago!

  32. I have great memories from the past RED parties. The one in Copenhagen with masques was awesome.

The best thing with Ignite will be all the sessions, but ofcourse the parties won’t be a drag either 🙂

    See you all there,

  33. Also, hoping to see a couple of good sessions with Dan in Chicago!!! He is one of the greatest speakers in the SharePoint community!

  34. Oh and b.t.w how will we know if we are one of the 50 lucky ones? See you all at Ignite 🙂

  35. my favorite red party memory was at the last SPC dancing on the dance floor with new and old friends till the early hours. SharePoint peeps are the best!

I’m most looking forward to hearing more about SharePoint 2016, future vision of 0365 and see old friends and meeting new ones.

  36. I think I have been to four or five red parties now and they are always my favorite. I hope to make it to this one as well.

  37. Had a great time at the Red Party last year at SPC14. AvePoint throws a great party! Looking forward to Ignite.

  38. I have fond memories of the Red Party in Vegas for SPC12. I’m sure this Red Party will kick ass too!

  39. First time in Chicago as well. Any idea if transportation is provided to any of these events? I’ve heard they’re pretty much spread out all over Chicago…

    • You are usually on your own for transportation except for the Event sponsored party if it is far away.

  40. I went to my first Red Party at SPC14 at Tao, it was epic. Great music, girls dancing with snakes, dudes playing trashcan drums and free drinks!!

Im looking forward to learning about how AvePoint can improve on last years party! 😉

  41. UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who participated in our Collaboration Ambassador initiative! The contest is now complete and our VIP pass winners have all been notified via email. We encourage you to continue to engage with us on the AvePoint Community as we share fresh content to earn points, increase your rank, and unlock additional perks in the future.

Still want to attend? Stay tuned to this space for future announcements about ways you can get your name on the list!

In the meantime, we encourage you to get in touch with your AvePoint account manager for a spot on the VIP list!

    • Still waiting on how else to get on THIS list. Only a few mores days left and I really really need one of these.. please!

  42. Really looking forward to this year’s Ignite conference, having missed the last SharePoint conference. Other than the sessions themselves, Im keen to visit the AvePoint folk at the exhibition and catch up on the latest. Their parties are also legendary!

  43. So, how can I get a ticket to the Red party? I dont want to be the only SharePoint consultant at the MCP party because I didnt get a ticket in time 😉

  44. Thanks for your interest in the RED Party! We are currently at capacity for the event, but you can stop by booth 568 around 4pm on Tuesday, May 5, to see if any wristbands are available.

  45. I have a strong feeling Julie, you are right. Wish I could be there, but I know one thing, This event won’t be epic… it will be biblical.
