The action-packed week that is Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) 2015 has begun! In addition to connecting with Microsoft and fellow partners in Orlando, we’re taking the opportunity throughout this week to highlight our legacy of delivering best-in-class SharePoint infrastructure management products along with the strides we’ve taken to support a broader information management story through data governance and compliance solutions. To kick off WPC, however, we are looking toward the future – and when you talk about the future of enterprise collaboration, there is one concept almost guaranteed to come up quicker than any other: the cloud.

AvePoint Online Services

After supporting thousands of organizations’ SharePoint infrastructure management, governance, and compliance needs for on-premises deployments, delivering that same experience for customers making the move to Office 365 and the cloud was only natural. In 2013, we introduced AvePoint Online Services, the first and only 100 percent Microsoft Azure-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for Office 365. Requiring no installation or agents, AvePoint Online Services delivers all of the simplicity and savings of the cloud while allowing organizations to protect and manage their data with the amount of control they would expect on premises. It does this through a single platform with the following unified services:

The need for these solutions was immediately clear: Today, AvePoint Online Services supports more than three million Office 365 users and backs up more than one petabyte of data – and counting. You can find out how AvePoint Online Services allowed our customers to meet their business objectives in the cloud by watching the video case study below:

What about hybrid?

Though Microsoft has aggressively pursued its “cloud-first” vision for the enterprise in recent years, the company itself has been entirely pragmatic about the fact that not all organizations are going to go all-in on the cloud – at least right away. For this reason, the notion of hybrid management is incredibly important, as organizations begin to shift specific workloads to the cloud while keeping others on premises. Just like Microsoft, AvePoint is well equipped to support organizations’ transition to the cloud no matter how they choose to go about it.

As our flagship product for SharePoint infrastructure management, DocAve continues to support both on-premises and hybrid environments in private or public clouds to satisfy specific business needs including data protection, administration, content management, records management, and reporting.

Expansion and Recognition

Beyond the ever-increasing amount of people who count on AvePoint to help manage and protect their critical data in the cloud, we’ve achieved some other great cloud-related milestones in recent days. Based on our dedication to providing SaaS solutions on Azure for Office 365, we recently earned the Microsoft Gold Cloud Platform competency – in addition to our existing Collaboration and Content as well as Application Development competencies.

Our cloud and hybrid management solutions are already used throughout five continents and all industry sectors, and we also recently announced our expansion into the Chinese market through a partnership with 21Vianet to market, resell, and service a localized version of AvePoint Online Services. To ensure we align with customers’ specific needs for cloud computing, we also continue to extend our reach into Microsoft data centers worldwide, including our recent integration with Azure Government.

What’s next for AvePoint’s cloud solutions?

Anyone who knows the cloud is aware of one of its chief benefits: the ability to innovate and expand at a rapid pace. With AvePoint Online Services, we take full advantage of this capability. Similar to how Office 365 customers enjoy the ability to access the latest updates to the platform, we update our cloud solutions monthly, ensuring our customers have instant access to the latest innovations for managing and securing their cloud environments.
