Delivering Microsoft SharePoint Expertise to the Gulf Region

​Next month, in cooperation with partners K2 and Microsoft, AvePoint will host the Governance & Business Process Management for Microsoft SharePoint roadshow in the Middle East region. Taking place in Dubai on Monday, October 1 and Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, October 3, the events will allow the Gulf SharePoint Community to gather, hear from SharePoint experts, and learn about proven practices and innovative solutions to maximize their organizations’ deployments.

Leading up to the events, we asked Microsoft Business Group Lead (Office Division) Yasir Khokhar, who is based out of the United Arab Emirates, some questions about Microsoft’s presentation on “The Future of Productivity” and the Gulf SharePoint community. 1. What is Microsoft’s presentation about and why was it chosen for the events? Yasir Khokhar: In this session we will be covering the broader vision of productivity and process management that Microsoft envisions for the future. We will look at industry trends shaping productivity, their impact on organizations, and how our products help bridge these issues. We will also talk about our future roadmap of SharePoint and Office 2013 and functions and features you can expect in the coming few months. 2. What is one key takeaway you want attendees to walk away with after the presentation? YK: An understanding of the trends shaping the industry in general and also what can be expected in the upcoming release of SharePoint and Office. 3. How do you feel events like these benefit the Gulf SharePoint community? YK: Joint events which bring Microsoft and its partners together are of tremendous interest to the SharePoint community as they provide an opportunity for participants to dive deep into an end-to-end solution to business problems. 4. What do you feel the Gulf SharePoint community needs most right now? YK: Planning, design, and deployment of SharePoint has been a key community need, and we need to continue to drive readiness around these topics.
