After a three-year hiatus, the European SharePoint Conference returned with a vengeance last week, from October 17-20, in Berlin, Germany. With more than 200 companies, 90 sessions outlining proven practices for SharePoint success, and even a SharePoint Shoot-Out – it was a must-attend event for the global SharePoint community.
AvePoint, an elite Diamond Sponsor of the conference, had a dedicated booth at Stand 11/12 in the center of Foyer 3 where we gave attendees an exclusive look at our two latest product offerings:
1. DocAve 6, the enterprise-class management platform for SharePoint governance
2. Governance Automation, a comprehensive, end-to-end service and information management offering
AvePoint held its renowned RED Party on Tuesday night to celebrate the start of European SharePoint Conference at Kuntzschule in Berlin. The venue was filled to capacity with more than 200 community members – including SharePoint MVPs, AvePoint executives, Microsoft VIPs, & more – who danced the night away and enjoyed casino-style entertainment in celebration of Microsoft SharePoint. Throughout the show, AvePoint held product demonstrations and met with attendees in the expo hall at Stand 11/12. In addition to live product demonstrations, our resident SharePoint experts – including SharePoint MVP Dan Holme, AvePoint Systems Engineer Manager Ernst Hutsteiner, and AvePoint Vice President Sarju Raja all led sessions detailing proven practices for SharePoint governance, migration, recovery, availability, and hybrid management at the conference.
On the final day of the conference, AvePoint also participated in a SharePoint Shootout – pitting our DocAve Software Platform against Axceler and Quest. Navigating a course of different SharePoint objectives – including applying backup and recovery strategies as well as content and permissions management – Mario Carvajal, AvePoint Senior Vice President of Financial Services and Engineering – North America, deftly showcased to a standing-room only crowd DocAve’s award-winning features for SharePoint governance and management.
