AvePoint’s Chris Foreman Discusses How Technology Helps Cities and their Citizens

Chris Foreman, CEO of North America at AvePoint, was recently featured on Advisor|TV, hosted by Adam Hecktman, Microsoft’s Director of Technology & Civic Innovation for Chicago. The series, titled “Big Shoulders,” discusses technology in the civic space.

“Depending on where you want to collaborate and where your audience wants to collaborate, we’ll help get you there,” said Foreman. Here he explains that through the use of our products, solutions, and services, AvePoint helps organizations in the commercial and public sector space get their jobs done easier, faster, and safer.

So why does AvePoint help cities?

Collaboration and government has often not been seen hand-in-hand, and AvePoint has set out to change this. AvePoint helps governments collaborate internally, between cities and states, and among allies around the world – but especially with citizens.

Foreman offers some advice for public officials who want to take advantage of technology to better engage with their constituents – “Just create a simple platform for how people can give feedback who are in this technology space and who care not only about modernizing their own government, but modernizing government in general. We can’t expect our city and government leaders to be experts in technology, so they need to get input from somewhere.”
