AvePoint Rides into the Vegas Sunset at SharePoint Conference 2014 #SPC14

As quickly as it came, Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2014 is now behind us – but what a week it was! As I shared in my post from the event last week, SPC was front-loaded with tons of exciting activity for both AvePoint and the conference as a whole. Our team didn’t slow down one bit as the rest of the week went on and there was never a dull moment at the AvePoint booth until the event reached its electrifying conclusion (more on that later!).

Throughout SPC, we featured some great book signings at AvePoint’s booth that brought attendees out in droves, standing in lines that snaked throughout the exhibit hall and waiting to get a free book and a few minutes with renowned SharePoint experts. On Tuesday, March 4, we had AvePoint Public Sector VP of Customer Strategy and Solutions and SharePoint MVP Dux Raymond Sy signing copies of SharePoint 2010 for Project Management. On Wednesday, March 5, AvePoint Client Services Director Randy Williams signed copies of his brand new book Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Administration Inside Out with his co-author Chris Givens. Perhaps the biggest surprise came on Thursday, March 6 when Scott Jamison, Susan Hanley, and Chris Bortlik – authors of Essential SharePoint 2013 – were joined by Microsoft CVP Jeff Teper, who is known throughout the community as “the father of SharePoint.”

Dux certainly kept himself very busy throughout the event. In addition to leading a customer panel and three separate sessions, Dux interviewed a wide variety of Microsoft leaders, industry analysts, SharePoint community leaders, and SharePoint users in a series of videos entitled “Dux Quax”. You can watch all of the videos via the playlist below:

AvePoint’s team of experts and thought leaders presented sessions on a wide variety of subjects throughout SPC, ranging from business-oriented topics like adoption to technical content like app development. Weren’t able to make it to Vegas for the event? Never fear! You can watch most of the sessions via the Channel 9 links below:

And, of course, how could we wrap up an SPC without giving away one of our famed Ducati motorcycles? As always, attendees crowded around AvePoint’s booth with fingers crossed in hopes that they might take home the beautiful red Ducati Monster 696 that tantalized them as they walked by it all week long throughout the event. This year, the first number drawn was a winner, and Melissa Osborne stepped up with hands visibly shaking with excitement to claim her prize. Congratulations Melissa! Enjoy your new bike!
