AvePoint Releases the Industry's First SharePoint / MOSS 2007 Item-Level Backup Software

AvePoint Inc. announced the official release of DocAve 4.1, which includes item, sub-site, and site level Backup & Restore and Content Management for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2007. By providing fullfidelity granular backup and restore tools, DocAve 4.1 significantly enhances the backup and restore functionality available in MOSS 2007 and provides SharePoint administrators with essential tools to manage their SharePoint Operations. This is the first such backup tool available for MOSS 2007.

In addition to the Backup and Restore modules, AvePoint also released the updated Content Manager module— a powerful content and topology management solution for MOSS 2007.

Additional DocAve 4.1 modules for MOSS 2007 —including Archiver and SharePoint Disaster Recovery (SPDR) — will be released in the coming months. Current DocAve 4.1 modules also include AvePoint´s full suite of Operations Management solutions for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and Windows SharePoint Services 2003, including granular Backup & Restore, Content Manager, Archiver, Auditor, SPDR, and TrashBin.
