AvePoint Inc. announced the official release of the DocAve 4.1 SharePoint Migration module. This tool enables SharePoint administrators to migrate content at the item level from either Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 or Windows SharePoint Services 2003 to MOSS 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 2007. Migration is full-fidelity with all permissions, securities, and metadata translated. This solution enables the co-existence of both the current and previous versions of SharePoint within an organization, and allows customers to upgrade and move selective content according to their business needs.
The DocAve SharePoint Migration module complements AvePoint’s DocAve 4.1 Backup & Restore and Content Management modules for MOSS 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 2007, also released today.
